Charlotte should probably get more love than she does, being in 15s, it’s prime time for her and she’s ready for more spotlight. She’s done it all. Nationals. JVA Watch List. AAU. UA Next. She’s a solid DS and the backbone of the defense for this team which has played VERY well this year for one with so much turnover. She’s going into prime recruitment season this summer, and it’ll be interesting to see where she lands, she clearly has the game for the next level.

create the offense to achieve the team’s success. However, that offense would not exist without the accurate passing of Charlotte. These three players are the lone returning starters from the Maryland Juniors 14 team that qualified for Open last year in Junior Nationals.
It appears that despite picking up a whole new crop of players to filter around those three the team has achieved success. It is a testament to the depth of the Maryland Juniors program. You look at many of their ex-players scattered on other club rosters and you wonder how they continue with their success.
Maryland Juniors is the fifth seed. They happen to fall into the same pool as Metro National, which took many of their players from the Maryland Juniors 14 team. That should be a fun match to watch. As far as I know this will be the first time these two square off this season.

Charlotte participated in the Prep Dig showcase at the Junior Nationals in Dallas last year. She received praise for her great angles when passing. Her calm presence when under pressure as well as her smooth movement along the court impressed the scouts who watched her.
She was part of a Maryland Juniors 14 super team that qualified for Open at the last Junior Nationals. Three of those players left to compete on a superstar Metro 15 team this year. This group earned an Open bid in their first Qualifier they played in, defeating two teams that finished second and third in Triple Crown to win the event.
Charlotte made a decision to stay with the Maryland Juniors team. This gave her more opportunity for playing time, especially in the libero role. She impressed at a recent Volley by the James tournament showing off her range when covering the court. While making the roster of a super team is nice, if the playing time does not exist it becomes harder for college coaches to notice you.
Charlotte has chosen her own both and finding success along the way.

Charlotte played defensive specialist for a talented Marylnd Juniors 14 team. An injury early in the season limited her play but once healthy she began sharing in the libero role. She returned to her role as defensive specialist once Maryland Juniors picked up an additional back row player for Junior Nationals.
Interesting that Charlotte rosters as a defensive specialist for Sandy Springs yet surprisingly she leads her team in kills despite her 5’5″ stature. She also leads the team in digs and serve receive. On the down side she also leads her team in hitting errors so perhaps the libero position suits her best.
Charlotte debuts at number 134 in our class of 2028 rankings.

This was her third appearance at a Prep Dig Showcase. It wasn’t until the six person play that I noticed Charlotte. She shares the libero roll with

An injury prevented her from truly showing off her skills. Now that her health has returned her quickness on the court stands out. With Charlotte and

sharing the libero time for Maryland Juniors it gives them lots of options.
A very steady player. Charlotte joked with me that she wore her pink shoes to try to stand out a little more. No need for the pink shoes to spot her play. She anticipates well with quick movements to find her base after she makes a play.
