About Charlotte

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Excited, locked-in, and ready to go. Getting a great block is so satisfying and exciting for me. I love charging the net and making a strong kill. It takes all of us to make a great play. I work on making connections with my setters and strive to generate energy on the court, gettibg my teammates pumped up. Helping my whole team succeed and celebrating their successes makes me feel the best.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a really upbeat and positive person. I try to see the best in people and situations. I’m easy to get along with and know how to compromise and work well with others. I love to encourage my teammates and spur them on to their best play. I love to generate positive energy whether we’re in a game or practice setting, blending fun with competitive passion.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I serve with our church in making food to bring to the homeless shelter. I enjoy helping with the children’s programs and care so that parents can enjoy attending church. I also received an award for music theory this past year. I play piano.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have served as a co-captain of my club team the ‘23-24 season.

As usual, there was a shortage of middles at the frosh showcase in August so it was easy to watch them all perform. I saw a little of Charlotte at the Nationals but at the showcase she appeared to show another level. The challenge for middles is if the passing struggles the middles become invisible.

That excellence at the frosh showcase seemed to carry over into her season with Annapolis Area Christian where she led her team in kills. What was even more impressive is that she also led her team in digs, which means they either used the libero for another position or she played some at the pins. It does show she has the versatility to play back row.
