When you watch Chyla Jukes Chyla Jukes MB IL play, you kind of question the net high with how she is able to reach across the net with ease. Coaches want their middles to be athletes, to have a presence offensively and defensively. Jukes does all of that and beyond, she has the blend of speed and athleticism where she can close the pin while also being able to transition to terminate. She is a quick leaper where she can get up quickly whether thats to take up space with her block or thump it to a sharp corner. She will be exciting to see take the court at the Prep Dig Gauntlet June 6-7.

Chyla is a real problem for defenses and offenses. I’ll tell you why. She explodes from that middle position with powerful swings. And she blocks and gets touches at the net. She moves very well, agile, quick and has all the attributes. She is smart with her hits, can hit around the block or over you. She is for sure a player to watch this club season.

Chyla is an absolute powerhouse middle. She can make huge plays in front of and behind her setter and is hungry for the ball. What sets her apart is her discipline – the way she moves across the net in block and transition is some of the best I’ve seen at this age. It seems no matter the situation, Chyla knows precisely where she needs to be and how she can make herself available to earn points.

Jukes is a rare talent that you don’t see every day, especially at middle blocker in the younger age divisions. What stands out most when you watch her is how quickly she moves to block and transition and then how high she jumps. She closes the block with ease, whether moving right or left. Her contact point on both the 1 & 31 sets is so high and fast, that she often beats or hits over the block. Look for big things to come from this young lady; the sky is the limit.
