Keeping up with the game, speed, skills, and consistency. Keira is capable of being placed anywhere on the floor and being productive. This is the reason she is headed to UConn to be a factor whenever her number is called and how. The “how” is the best part of her game, so explosive as a hitter and good court awareness. With the ability to transition to the back and be a dependable defender and passer due to that awareness and athleticism. She is a winner, so she will make sure she does what it takes to put the W in the column.

Mother McAuley the host school of the Asics Challenge will have a busy week.  Prior to hosting the tournament they will play a match against Assumption out of Louisville tonight.  Long standing traditional powers going head to head.  One of the top attackers for the Mighty Macs is Keira McQuillan Keira McQuillan 5'9" | OH/DS/L Mother McAuley | 2028 State IL .  She is an explosive outside hitter who is also really solid in the backrow with her serve receive and defense.  She has a wide array of shots and knows how to use her IQ to score points.  She was one of the top scorers for 1st Alliance 16 Gold during the 2026 club season and has committed to play volleyball at UCONN.

Keira McQuillan Keira McQuillan 5'9" | OH/DS/L Mother McAuley | 2028 State IL has asserted herself as one of the top outsides in the Illinois Class of 2028.  Even watching her as a 15s last year she showed an exciting ability to score points.  This season she has demonstrated an all around game that is electric. She can handle a high volume in serve receive, can be a back court option to score points, and is really smart with her shots on the outside.  Her 1st Alliance 16 Gold team has an open bid to USAV nationals, but they will still be hungry for a title in SLC this weekend.

Another explosive athlete who brings real fire from the OH position. She scores in every way possible tips, rolls, big cross‑court swings, tooling the block, and throwing down a hammer when she gets the right ball. Her approach is fast and powerful, and she elevates with ease before unloading a controlled, dangerous attack. She impacts the game in every rotation, helping with serve receive, defense, and transition. Whatever the team needs, she steps in and delivers. A true all‑around gamer who makes volleyball look fun and easy in her own way.

It’s listed that she can play multiple positions, and I believe it. She was scrappy all over the court and at the net. I saw her pass, I saw her swing for kill,s and keep points alive. Good lift when swinging at the net, but her motor and fight had her stand out to me. Great overall player who will be an asset wherever she plays.
