About Fiona

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a 15U outside hitter who plays with an aggressive and competitive mindset. I read the court well, making smart decisions on both offense and defense. As a team player, I communicate effectively, support my teammates, and help keep the energy high. I take pride in being a motivator on the court, leading by example with effort, positivity, and determination.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a positive person both on the court and off the court. I try and motivate my teammates and keep things upbeat.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I just graduated 8th grade and received two prestigious leadership and academic awards from Mother McAuley High School. I am excited to make an impact there and start my high school career.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through volleyball, I have developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. As an outside hitter, I have learned how to communicate effectively with my teammates, stay positive under pressure, and help motivate others during matches and practices. I take pride in being a team player who supports teammates and works toward common goals.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have two pet rabbits that I care for immensely. I have had to deal with the death of two prior bunnies. It is difficult to compartmentalize the feelings and move forward. My love of animals is directing me to pursue becoming a veterinarian.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like a mid size to large school where I can purse a career as a veterinarian and still be able to continue my volleyball career.
