Brinkley has put together an outstanding career so far for the Marion Patriots. Over two seasons, she has appeared in 174 sets, recording 764 assists (4.4 assists per set) and 330 digs, solidifying her role as one of the team’s captains alongside Kendall Brown Kendall Brown 5'8" | OH/MB Marion | 2027 State AR . Her experience and leadership will be critical as Marion works to defend its state championship.

Claire showed a strong command of Marion’s revamped offense throughout camp. She distributed the ball well, kept hitters involved, and consistently put them in positions to score. What impressed me most was her decision-making. She recognized favorable matchups and didn’t lock onto one hitter when the defense began to key on them. Defensively, she was active behind the block and showed a willingness to pursue second-ball contacts, keeping rallies alive. After finishing second on the team in assists last season, Brinkley looks ready to take over the offense and guide one of the state’s most talented front rows in 2026.

Brinkley gives 17 Elite sound libero play after playing setter and opposite hitter for Marion during high school season. Brinkley has a nose for balls. Brinkley steps to them and makes sound passes. She is not afraid to go down to the ground to dig up hard shots. She can even pick up deflected balls. Brinkley executes both the bump and overhead passes to jumpstart the offense. Brinkley also backs up plays at the net nicely. Brinkley said keeping balls and in play is a huge focus for this team.
