Mike Bryant | Prep Dig Scout
Ashley is a big pick-up for Mintonette m.61 as she makes the move from AVC this club season. She is an upper tier 2028 prospect in the Prep Dig rankings as she has good length and athleticism in the middle phase of the game. With a high ceiling to her game and room to grow fundamentally, her physicality is a big asset to effort. Expect her skills and impact to rise competing for Mintonette as she’ll provide big plays on both sides of the ball.

Ashley continues as one of the top middles in this class. She is athletic with some natural pace and power coming off her arm when she is on time in the air. She noticeably has increased her range of offense with her ability to approach and swing from varied middle tempo attack points around her setter. She was a contributor for Avon Lake last fall as she was one of their top blockers. Look for her offensive production to increase following the graduation of their team leading point scorer.

Ashley remains the top prospect in this Ohio class at the second rankings cycle. As there are some really talented athletes in this class, she continues to show good physicality in combination with sound skills in a variety of phases. Her timing in the middle helps create space for her big arm while her patience and quick lift and press make her a formidable blocking presence defensively. She and her team are qualified for the 15 American division at the upcoming USAV national championships this summer.

In her first season with Avon Lake, Ashley was just shy of 100 total kills on the season as they finished 17-7 overall. She is a high potential prospect at 6’0 and showing good physical promise. Her versatility to contribute in the middle and on the right side is a big asset. She moves well through faster options around her setter while also showing ability to get up and on top of a higher ball at the pin. The AVC club squad she will return to in the coming months should once again be one of the best in Ohio and with ability to compete very well on the national stage. Look for Ashley to be involved a lot.
