About Elianna
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Smart, strong, and fearless, I thrive as my team’s go-to hitter. At the net, I combine power with court awareness to exploit defensive gaps and score consistently. Defensively, I adapt quickly, read hitters well, and bring relentless effort to every rally. From the service line, I attack aggressively with placement designed to disrupt serve-receive and create scoring opportunities.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I take pride in being a composed, resilient competitor who thrives in high-pressure moments. I keep my team focused & confident, raising the intensity when needed but always maintaining control. I embrace challenges & see pressure as an opportunity to perform at my best. I bring energy and positivity that elevates those around me. Coaches can count on me to be mentally tough, consistent & all in.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I’m actively involved in my church’s Youth Ministry Program, where I build leadership, teamwork, and service skills. I also compete with the Jr. Dashers feeder team, preparing for my high school career at DSHA and gaining valuable experience against strong competition.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
As a captain, I embrace accountability, keep the intensity level high, and bring steady leadership in high-pressure moments. My goal is always to elevate the performance of my teammates while being the reliable, competitive player my coaches can count on.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced as an athlete is competing through injuries. Playing while managing pain pushed me to grow mentally as well as physically. I learned how to stay composed, adapt my game, and contribute to my team even when not at 100%. These experiences taught me resilience, discipline, and how to overcome adversity- qualities I carry into every practice and match.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m seeking a college that will allow me to compete in high-level Division I volleyball while pursuing my academic goals in either nursing or physical therapy. I’m especially drawn to schools that combine strong athletic programs with respected health science programs, and that offer a Catholic foundation where I can continue to grow in my faith and as a leader on and off the court.
