This is definitely an example of a coach saying “Keep the ball away from their libero”.  I know hitting it to the libero is never ideal, but with Marley Connor Marley Connor 5'3" | DS/L Divine Savior Holy Angles | 2028 State WI as the ‘bro, she’s one not to send a free ball too and also avoid serving.  Connor was a major part of the success to the Sting 15 Black run to the National Division gold bracket at USAV in Dallas last summer.  She takes away points, she commands the backrow, she does the dirty work to make sure her side of the net can be in system to score points.  They will be a top seed in their pool on Saturday with FC Elite 16 White, WI Flight 16 Blue, and Milwaukee Jrs 16-1. 

Marley Connor Marley Connor 5'3" | DS/L Divine Savior Holy Angles | 2028 State WI was a big part of the MKE Sting 15 Black run to the USAV 15 National Elite Eight this past summer.  She was also a DS for DSHA this fall in their run to the a state runner up finish. Connor plays the libero position with athleticism and physicality where her range is what stands out.  She can cover a large part of the court and is someone you want to avoid in serve receive. She will be a 2028 that college coaches will want to keep tabs on where she will be part of Milwaukee Sting once again in 2026. 

I’ve seen Conner play before and she is continuing to raise her game. I remember her from the Northern Lights Qualifier back in January with her range and athleticism and from there she has only progressed with her platform control and anticipation. She beats the ball to the spot. I really like how she can clean up a chaotic play on her side of the net. She not only saves points, she can create them. 

Connor is beast in the back court. She is fast and fluid in everything she does. She has an exceptional read on the ball, knows how to position herself quickly and correctly, and executes with precision. Connor has a high level of hustle and grit and will always go all out on every play to make a save. Connor is one Bro that is definitely on the list for the class of 2028 to follow.

Marley Connor Marley Connor 5'3" | DS/L Divine Savior Holy Angles | 2028 State WI of Milwaukee Sting 15 Black brings a certain level of athleticism and physicality to the libero position.  Before the ball is even contacted from the other side of the net she is in a great defensive position, ready to make that first positive move to make the play.   She is really strong in the aspects of the unpredictable.  She covers the tips, tools, and roll shots really well where she brings some calm to the chaos.  This Sting squad is real gritty and has a certain feistiness to the court while Connor displays on each play. 

Marley was impressive with her fundamentals and clean play at the Expo. She was fearless on the court and dug up some really tough and powerful swings. Her ball control stood out, and she was always willing to step into a drill to get more reps. I loved Marley’s energy on the court and her drive.

Connor gets her hips low and under the ball and the amount of touches she gets are awesome. She moves so easily to make the routine plays look flawless and almost nonchalant. Connor has a confident presence and you can tell she holds herself and her performance to a high standard.

Marley is a scrappy player to watch in this class. Her defense was absolutely stellar, and she got great touches on some very powerful swings. She also was quick to react to tips and in coverage.
