Mitchell is helping the 15 Red team form a stout back row. Mitchell watches hitters closely then does what she can to keep plays alive. Mitchell (pictured) can lunge to her left if needed to handle hard cross shots. Mitchell executes both bump and overhead passes. Balls may seem headed to the open middle of the court before Mitchell comes out of nowhere to pop the ball up to teammates. Mitchell also provides sound net protection.

Mitchell (pictured) has a good platform in the back row and it is allowing her to consistently make sound first touches. Mitchell mainly does the forearm passes, but is not afraid to go to the overhand and dive passes when needed to keep plays alive and make things happen out of system. She has good range to track down balls. Mitchell also possesses a strong serve to get opponents out of rhythm.
