About Emmalynn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as very gritty and I put a lot of effort and focus into every movement I have interacting with the ball from serves to sets. Even though I might be very energetic on the court, I still have that locked in mentality and embrace the challenges I face during gameplay.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe my mentality and personality on the court as very energetic and hype. Every time I step onto the court I hype up my teammates with my cheers and energy whether we are up by 5 or down by 10.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Skills that I have developed are leadership and teamwork from being able to persevere when its 19 - 21 and Its my turn to serve and I push through the intensity and worry of not making it and leading my team with their help to eventually win. I have also developed being able to play my same game with people I don't get along the best with and continue to encourage them as well as anyone else.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I have faced was the time where I was getting ready for a new and exciting season of volleyball then soon getting hospitalized due to an infection.I had gotten admitted into the hospital the day I was supposed to commit to my club. I was in the hospital for about 2 weeks and when I was released I had to re-meet all of my teammates and feeling like the odd one out.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a program where they really value not only winning but bringing the girls together because I believe that to have a good program means that the girls all work together and flow due to their strong bond.
