About Emmy

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a quick, defensive player who thrives in serve receive with consistent accuracy. I bring a reliable jump serve with strong placement and focus on keeping my team in system. On the court, I’m vocal and confident, leading through communication, hustle, and energy to keep my teammates engaged and focused.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m an all-in type of player who stays levelheaded under pressure. I love asking questions and seeking to fully understand the game, which helps me constantly improve and support my team. I bring energy, focus, and humor to the court, which keeps me and my teammates motivated and connected.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of school and volleyball, I make it a priority to give back through volunteer work each year. I’ve enjoyed serving with different organizations, especially those that involve helping animals and working with young children. These experiences have taught me responsibility, compassion, and the importance of supporting others. I value the chance to make a positive impact in my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed strong leadership and teamwork skills through sports and group activities. Playing volleyball has taught me how important communication, trust, and collaboration are to success. As a libero, I’ve learned to lead by example, encourage my teammates, and stay focused under pressure. I’ve also developed perseverance and discipline from training and I enjoy supporting others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One significant challenge I faced was having to sit out at the end of Nationals due to injury. It was difficult not being able to contribute on the court, but it taught me how to support my team in other ways. I focused on encouraging my teammates, staying engaged from the sidelines, and leading with energy.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that feels like home and has a strong sense of family. Ideally, I’d love to stay in Texas and continue playing volleyball while pursuing my education.
