George was a key piece in the Alamo 15 Premier side that ranked second with four wins and five losses. Her intensity at the net was rarely matched by opposing middles and helped her control the flow of the game. Tall and explosive, George was a handful on offense because she got off the floor really well, hit the ball with tremendous power and, most importantly, did an excellent job of finding angles to swing around the block. Another interesting aspect of George’s offense was her versatile as she was able to score from each position at the net with great efficiency. She also had a solid blocking presence, reading opponents well and timing her jumps precisely.

Charlie is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because I have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at O’Connor High School and plays club for the Alamo volleyball program. There were some really amazing middles on full display at this prestigious tournament and one of the most active middles I saw was Miss George. Rarely was she not ready to attack quickly on every attempt. One of the hardest things to do on a volleyball court is to be involved in a long rally as a middle and have to patrol the net pin to pin and transition to attack after every unsuccessful block. It is beyond tiring and most middles’ energy dies out after a few rallies, but not Charlie. She was fighting on every rally and never gave up. She knows her role and plays it with aggressiveness. When she does get the opportunity to swing on the ball, it is a violent and vicious attack that is difficult to defend against not only because of the sheer power that she hits the ball with, but more importantly the speed of the tempo is at a blistering pace. I loved how high her motor was throughout the match I watched. If you play this team, you will have no choice but to contend with her physical style of play. She communicates well to her teammates, pushes them to be better and leads by example with her energy. I cannot wait to rank this position in her grad class, because she deserves to be on it.
