About Eva
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I work to read hitters well, close blocks fast, and stay quick on transitions. I'm also a reliable hitter with strong timing and placement, and a consistent server who can stay calm under pressure. I’m coachable, a team player, and always give 100% effort.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m focused, hardworking, and always looking to improve. I stay positive and bring energy to my team, even in tough moments. I take feedback seriously, push myself and others to compete at a high level, and pride myself on being dependable and mentally tough.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I don’t have much free time outside of school and volleyball, but I stay focused and use my time wisely. I work hard to balance both by staying organized and prioritizing what matters most. When I’m not at practice or games, I’m either keeping up with schoolwork or doing something to improve my game, whether that’s film, extra reps, or strength work.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Playing travel volleyball has helped me grow as a leader and teammate. I’ve learned how to communicate clearly, stay positive under pressure, and support my team no matter the situation. I've also learned to manage my time and responsibilities, which has helped me stay accountable both on & off the court. These experiences have taught me discipline, resilience, and how important it is to show up.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is balancing the demands of travel volleyball with school and other responsibilities. There are times when it feels overwhelming, but I’ve learned how to manage my time, stay focused, and keep pushing even when I’m tired or stressed. It’s taught me the importance of discipline, staying organized, and not giving up when things get hard.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college where I can grow both as an athlete and a student, somewhere with a strong volleyball program, supportive coaching staff, and a team culture that values hard work and communication. I also want a school that challenges me academically and helps me prepare for life after volleyball. A positive environment where I feel like part of a family is really important to me.
