Absolutely electric.  There is always something exciting bound to happen with Lael Timbers-Ausar enters the game.  The middle blocker has been a standout for 1st Alliance 16 Silver who has put together a 52-11 record this season.  They will head to nationals with a national level bid.  Timbers-Ausar is touching over ten feet, her length and athleticism allows for her to cause a lot of issues for her opponents.  They have to be aware of her when they attack and offensively she can run a variety of tempos to score points.  I’m excited to see this team compete! 

Lael is one of the most intriguing prospects in this group: 6’0″, long wingspan, quick feet, and a high vertical that makes her look like she’s gliding across the floor. She moves with a presence that’s flat out intimidating, always on her toes and flying to the ball with urgency and control. There’s no ball too high, no set too fast, no system too quick for her she adjusts cleanly and makes fast decisions that keep errors low. Her athleticism allows her to recoil and reset instantly, giving her multiple attempts at the net and making her a constant threat for second and third chance blocks. She reads hitters well, reacts instinctively, and with her length, she becomes a problem for anyone swinging across from her. Lael has the physical tools, court sense, and mentality of a prospect whose rise is only just beginning. At this rate, she won’t be on the board for long.
