About Evelyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My style is read-and-react—I focus on making smart, quick adjustments based on what the other team is doing. I rely on my volleyball IQ to make real-time decisions, stay adaptable, and outsmart opponents through awareness and strategy, not just power. I’m a versatile player who’s comfortable in different roles and situations. Being a good teammate and helping the whole team matters most to me.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a quiet competitor who leads by example. I take pride in being a consistent, dependable teammate—someone my coaches and teammates can count on in any situation. I stay focused during games, but off the court, I’m playful and like to keep the energy positive. I value loyalty, hard work, and doing whatever it takes to help my team succeed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was switching to a new school district and stepping into open gyms and tryouts without knowing anyone. It was intimidating, but my love for volleyball gave me the confidence to work hard, prove myself, and build new friendships. This experience taught me how to adapt quickly and connect with teammates through the game I’m passionate about.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will help me grow not only as a volleyball player, but as a student and person. I want to be part of a program that will challenge me to reach my full potential on the court while also providing the education and support I need to succeed in life after volleyball. My goal is to find a school that invests in both my athletic development and my future.
