A do-everything, six-rotation outside hitter is what you get when having Hadley on your roster. She does her job, does it well, and is relentless throughout the match, regardless of the score. Too often in collegiate ball, we see hyper specific skills—-a three-rotation pin attacker that only hits, a three-rotation DS that’s great on defense but not on serve receive, a middle that doesn’t serve—-yet Hadley brings a “jane-of-all-trades” mentality to the outside hitting position that isn’t seen much these days. I like her “throwback” skill set, as all parts of her game make her that much more marketable to recruiters in the class of ‘28.

One of the most well-rounded outsides in this class, Hadley has the entire package that a ball-control-first outside should be. Need a defensive play? Hadley’s already read the attacker and dug the ball. How about a solid receive of serve to ensure in-system play? Yep, there’s Hadley. A smart and controlled shot in out-of-system play? Miss Hasselbring can do it. She’s the whole package, and can be anything from a full-time, six-rotation outside to a three-rotation defender and everything in between at the next level.

Every graduating class at Providence seems to have THAT kid that’s more than capable of carrying a team as a six-rotation outside. Hadley’s the girl of the moment for the Pioneers, and will carry her talent and athleticism over to club season for Union this spring. Her pass-to-attack is above average for this class, her high attack point is better than most her size, and she’s adept at finding the shot that works for where the set is located.

Hadley’s ability to be a six-rotation stud at the next level shone brightly this past fall, as she was the primary attacker for an undersized Providence squad. Playing one of the toughest schedules in the state, Hadley constantly and consistently was the go-to in an offense that lacked size and terminating abilities. She careered against Sacred Heart, a top-five Kentucky program, with 24 kills while hitting north of .400 as a primary passer. Her all-around game will be her calling card, and her recruitment has only just begun.

Hadley spent this past season for the Pioneers as the primary attacker and six rotation outside for a young 4A squad playing up a class due to the IHSAA tournament success factor. Her pass-to-attack skills are exceptional, she’s active in all parts of every rally, and can terminate from everywhere.
