Marti is extremely disciplined and well developed as a setter. She quickly gets her feet to the ball and squares up her hips before flawlessly setting to one of her hitters. She controls the offense and is not afraid to switch up routes. Her quick hands catches the opposing blockers off guard allowing her hitters to make dominant play. She has loud communication with her teammates and never fails to celebrate their successes. Marti’s ability to use her platform and legs to provide her hitters with a ball to aggressively send over contributed to the teams overall success.

Hadley Marti, Class of 2029, made a strong varsity debut for Alexandria Area High School (MN) as they kicked off their season with a thrilling five-set win over Sartell on 8/26. The reigning 2024 state champs relied on Hadley’s steady presence, as she tallied 30 assists, 6 digs, 3 kills, and 3 blocks. She came up big in key moments, earning the “Culver’s Play of the Game” for a clutch dig.

Marti is new setter to jump on my radar at the Luau. I was impressed with her ability to set tempo, push balls to the pins, and find her middles when off the net. I was even more impressed when I found out she was playing up a year on this highly skilled Kandi Elite team. Marti is quick, understand what her hitters need, and works tremendously hard. She is definitely one that I am going to keep my eyes on for the next few years as she continues to grow and develop her game.
