The biggest acquisition for Georgetown Day may be libero Jaylin Park Jaylin Park 5'6" | DS/L Georgetown Day | 2028 State VA , who played for Reservoir High last year and plays club for Metro 15. Their biggest need may be at the setter position where DC Gatorade Player of the Year Caycee Chhum Caycee Chhum 5'7" | S Georgetown Day | 2027 State VA transferred to John Champe. It is my understanding she will not play volleyball her senior season.

Who will set for the Mighty Hoppers will be decided at after the scrimmages are done. Charlie Haft Charlie Haft 5'2" | S/DS/L Georgetown Day | 2027 VA is the returning setter from last year but she lists only 5’5″ and her playing time was limited. They will need to find a second setter to run a 6/2.

Jaylin will take over the libero role. She was the primary libero for Metro 15, which qualified for the gold bracket last year in the Open Division at Junior Nationals. She is a solid passer and defensive player based on her winning top digger award at Capitol Hill Classic and top receiver this past year at the same tournament.

Jaylin has committed to Emory, the same school where Caycee Chhum Caycee Chhum 5'7" | S Georgetown Day | 2027 State VA committed.

The class of 2028 carries three liberos in the top ten. Slowly but surely Jaylin is making the climb up the rankings to join them. She plays down with Metro 15. Another libero on that team Charlotte Nelson Charlotte Nelson 5'7" | DS/L Bishop O'Connell | 2028 State VA is also included as a top riser. A club like Metro knows that if you don’t have consistent passing your offense will be lacking because it will always be out of system. Metro 15 made it to the gold bracket in the Junior Nationals last season with Jaylin primarily playing the libero position.

Jaylin won the top digger award at Capital Hill Classic in 2025. In 2026 she won top receiver. Some liberos can pass well but need work on defense while others are great on defense but need to work on their passing. Jaylin is strong at both.

She shows good reactions when playing defense on hard driven balls. She also shows quickness when scrambling for tips. This is her second consecutive ranking update in which she has been identified as a top riser. The last rankings she went from 77 to 42. For this year she has moved from 42 to 32. She does not have far to go to reach a couple of her Metro compatriots Riley Ko Riley Ko 5'9" | DS/L Reservoir | 2028 State VA and Kaniyah Ball Kaniyah Ball 5'6" | DS/L Frederick | 2028 State VA in the top ten.

Last year Reservoir reached the final four in the Class 3 Maryland state playoffs before getting swept by North Hagerstown in the semi-finals.

She plays libero for the Metro 15 travel team. The Capitol Hill Classic voted her best digger at the 2025 Capitol Hill classic awards while in 2026 she won the best receiver award. She can do it all.

Jaylin, Riley Ko Riley Ko 5'9" | DS/L Reservoir | 2028 State VA and Ashley Nguyen Ashley Nguyen 5'6" | S Reservoir | 2028 State VA led Reservoir to the semi-finals in the Maryland Class 3 state championship before losing to North Hagerstown. As a back row player Jaylin shows tremendous quickness in the back row, almost always finding herself centered to dig the ball. Her ability to make the “wow” seem routine is truly remarkable.

Jaylin takes one of the biggest moves up in the rankings jumping from 77 to 42 in the class of 2028.
