Cocherl continues to perform at an elite level offensively, which includes putting down 21 kills as Pleasant earned a hard fought 3-1 win over Willard. The performance standard for Cocherl is high as she has spent her entire varsity career scoring in big volume as she has a career average of 5.9 k/s. This complements well her defense as she is averaging a career high 11.2 d/m this season. Pleasant will next face a Huron team that performs well defensively while also having good offensive balance. This should be an intense match to get to the state tournament and the season’s final weekend.

Cocherl is another very impressive and terminal arm. She is a fluid attacker that can get big air and seemingly do what she wants with her arm control, pace, and location once she makes her move to contact the ball above the net. With open space she can swing straight now. When hands are in front of her she can go over or around them. Her collection of competitive experience includes high volume of opportunity as well as points scored so it will be fun to watch her lead this offense with those things in mind throughout the Triple Crown NIT battlefield. This team has other pieces that must be respected so she should find some good opportunities to terminate and score. They will being play in Power Pool D.

She now has 981 total kills in her first two varsity seasons. Earning 2nd team all-Ohio honors for DVI, Cocherl will be back again with her Mintonette team as a key threat to their offense. As 5’11 can be undersized for the middle position, she is a savvy point scorer with pure pace off her arm when on time and with good space, while also capable of moving the ball around to open space when touch and arm control are needed. With 154 total blocks for Pleasant, she has a 2.8 b/m career average. You can see her and this Mintonette team at the Nike Classic in January.
