Sperry patrols the back row with authority for the Kittens. Sperry moves her feet well consistently beating balls to their spots on the court, then extends her arms well to make precise two to three-point passes. Sperry can make good out of system passes to make sure hitters take good swings at balls. Sperry agreed it is vital to go for every ball even if one does not think she can get it because it pushes you when you have to go for balls, it becomes second nature.

Sperry has a motor on the court as a libero for both the high school and club teams. She maintains her platform following through on passes to the setter. Sperry only dives when necessary. Sperry creates things out of system and is a solid server. Sperry had 787 digs and 33 aces for the Kittens last fall.
