Wiley (pictured) is one of many reasons the Kittens will be tough this season, giving the team great balance. Wiley hits balls hard from outside to different parts of the court. It will be a matter of consistently find ways to hit around blocks, that could be a lot of one-on-ones with Ashland’s size in the middle. She also disrupts things at the net with timely blocking and throws opponents out of system with her serves. Wiley has been working on her first touches trying to get the Kittens in rhythm consistently.

Wiley has a great wrist snap allowing her to pound balls to the ground. Wiley should benefit from one-on-one opportunities on the outside with the size Ashland possesses in the middle. Wiley brings a good net presence and a sound jump serve. Wiley said playing as a team is important and has been working on her first touches during club season.

Wiley does a great job adjusting in the air using her momentum to hit balls away from blocks. She does a good job angling balls off hitters and out of bounds or down for big points. Her corner hits are tough. Wiley possesses a sound jump serve and sends free balls across the net with a purpose. Wiley is not fooled by setter dumps.

Wiley has been on a tear during club season. Wiley is a versatile player for both her club and high school teams. She quickly transitions from defense to offense. Wiley takes big swings, especially on the go routes, and has shown she can put balls down on good defensive specialists. Wiley makes crisp passes on defense. Wiley had 436 kills, 280 digs and 50 aces, helping Ashland go 33-7 and win both the 64th District and 16th Region crowns this past fall.
