Expert Analysis
Mike Graham | Prep Dig Scout
Pittman could be more dangerous from the outside this year because the Kittens have size in the middle meaning she could receive a lot of opportunities against solo blockers. Pittman does a great job hitting all over the court, especially on the go routes. Pittman is also a sound passer and server. Pittman said she’s excited for her senior year and to play with her friends one more time, noting the seniors have played together since the sixth grade. She said the experience at state last year should help the team prepare better.

Pittman (pictured) had a nice year defensively as a sophomore, but turned into a dominant hitter her junior year and is adding to those skills during club season. Pittman delivers a lot of big kills when the team needs them. She’s tough to pick up on because she hits to a number of different parts of the court, especially from the strong left side. Pittman sends a tough cutter to the opposite line and paints the back lines in addition to mixing in soft shots. Pittman had 424 kills, 314 digs and 39 aces this past fall, helping Ashland go 33-7 winning 64th District and 16th Region crowns.

Pittman has turned into a sound all-around player for the 17A-Clark squad, helping the squad go 3-3 and finish runner-up in the 17 American Silver bracket. She patrols the back row with authority not letting things fall easily. Then in the front, Pittman finds different ways to put balls down. She takes solid swings, angling balls off blockers when necessary.
