About Kaylee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a focused, motivated player. I look to place the ball where the other team won’t reach it, as well as encourage my teammates to do their best.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I try to be as encouraging as possible because, when our teammates feel valued and seen, they play better, and then the team plays better. I try to encourage the team more than focus on my accomplishment.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer at my church and play the baritone.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed all three. I have been part of club volleyball since I was nine years old. I know what it takes to work well together as a team. I perform community service when I volunteer at my church and I have also helped to train new teens in our church café.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I Ben part of a team that struggled to get along and work together. When people would get frustrated, they would yell at each other. It was a tough season. I had to work really hard to stay positive, keep trying, and making sure that my behavior and attitude was helping the team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m still thinking about what type of college I want to attend. But I would like to play volleyball and possibly study health sciences or marine biology.
