Whenever Schneider rotated into the back row, Clayton stepped up to provide the same physicality and aggression as the team’s setter. This versatile athlete is ready-made for a 5-1 system, as Clayton is not afraid to challenge opposing hitters while blocking in the front row. Of course, this setter gets an all-tournament nod for her uncanny distribution skills, too.

Kinzie first caught my eye at the Madness in Miltown tournament because of her high-level communication. She worked with and for her team on every point. Her intangibles were invaluable throughout the tournament. Couple that with her clean and competitive play, and Kinzie was an impact player on every point.

I have been able to see Clayton a few times this year and I am impressed each and every time. She does a good job running the offense and leading her team to big wins. She reads the floor well and delivers balls to her attackers that are precisely what they need.. leading to optimal scoring. She also does a good job getting all of her hitters involved. It would be easy to rely on the big arms of Ella Morarend and Taylor Schneider Taylor Schneider 5'11" | RS/OH/OH State IA but Clayton spreads out the offense, keeps the defense guessing, and has all of her teammates contributing to the success of the team.

She is poised, smart, has quick hands, and delivers balls in just the right spot for her hitters. Clayton will also take it over on 2 which either scored points or created a chaotic out of system mess for opponents. Clayton is going to be fun to keep tabs on over the season as she is surely going to to impress.
