Abby Snethen | Prep Dig Scout
Quiroga, a senior for Mountainside, has a good technical block in the middle, getting touches whenever possible. She closes to her pins, making it hard for opposing teams to hit past her. She gets up quick in the middle, always making a point to be an option for her setter.

Quiroga, a 5’9” middle blocker from Mountainside High School, showed off her physicality at the Top 250 Expo. Although she looked a little undersized in the middle, she played much taller than her frame, with an impressive vertical jump and a heavy arm. Blocking, she makes fast lateral movements to get to the pins and takes up a lot of space with her hands. Playing for NPJ Portland 16-1 this upcoming club season, I will be eager to see if Quiroga stays in the middle or transitions to a pin.

Quiroga is another class of 2026 middle blocker who improved immensely this previous season, and those improvements were on full display during the showcase. Quiroga is a super physical player with a hammer of an arm, and she is not afraid to detonate on the ball. Quiroga is also quick along the net and in transition. She too will be fun to follow over the next few years.

Previous State Rank: #68
New State Rank: #38
Why the rise? Quiroga’s rise in the rankings, which is the largest of the 2026 stock risers, is due to her impressive all-around play, especially her incredible blocking skills on defense. Although she is undersized as a middle, Quiroga combines an explosive vertical with a strong press at the net to shut down hitters of any height. She also showcased her quick reaction time to dig hard-driven balls from the middle front and left back this season.
