Wiley and the Houston Skyline 18 Royal team are set to compete in the Open Division in Nevada. A very agile and quick player, she dominates the backcourt with her dynamic and efficient game. Wiley is extremely comfortable in serve-receive and takes care of business at a high level despite covering a large area of the court. She’s probably even more impressive and productive on defense, using her ability to read the game and superior ball control to make jaw-dropping digs and generate scoring opportunities for her team.

She reads attackers early and positions herself before the swing, which allows her to control balls that most defenders do not even touch. Her platform stays quiet, and she absorbs pace with confidence.

She made multiple digs that looked like certain kills. Not lucky touches. Controlled, playable balls that extended rallies and flipped momentum. Her ability to read the game and stay disciplined under pressure makes her a difference-maker in the back court.

Shadow Creek’s libero did a good job of leading the team defensively. Wiley covered a lot of ground in serve-receive and delivered accurate passes to her setter most of the time. The junior also stood out when playing defense and generated several transition opportunities for her team with her superior ball control. Wiley was tasked with setting in transition on some occasions and displayed great accuracy in getting the ball to her hitters.

The junior libero was Shadow Creek’s floor general, leading the team’s backcourt efforts with tremendous efficiency. Wiley covered a lot of ground in serve-receive and delivered dimes to her setter all day, strongly contributing to the success of the team’s offense. Shadow Creek uses three different defensive specialists and Wiley works well with all of them, leading the team’s communication on the court and making sure everyone is where they’re supposed to be. The libero was also very precise when she had to set in transition.
