Jeremy Deckard | Prep Dig Scout
Ranked No. 2 overall is Jefferson West’s Deeter. She benefits from playing early at a smaller school and playing for a winning program. She tallied 252 kills for the Tigers as a freshman and 52 blocks. She also recorded 100 digs and 109 serve receptions. She has a smooth approach and crunch balls. She has the size to be utilized in the middle and the quickness to hit from the outside. It will be interesting to see how she evolves as a player with Jeff West.

Deeter, much like Arn Anderson, will be this group’s enforcer. She is tough as nails. I first saw her play for her 14U Club Team, so I had big expectations for her heading into her freshman prep season. She did not disappoint me or anyone at Jefferson West. She finished with 244 kills and 51 blocks in 87 sets played for the Tigers. She can jump, is strong, and plays with a little bit of a mean streak, which I absolutely approve of. Deeter is ranked No. 2 overall in the Kansas Class of 2029.

Deeter is ranked No. 2 overall after a solid freshman campaign with Jefferson West. Deeter finished her initial high school season with 244 kills and 51 blocks for the Tigers. She was a net monster during the entire season. Jeff West fell in a Class 3A regional final to the Holton Wildcats. They will return a solid corps of players next fall. Deeter is a player I hope to see play during the club season, schedule permitting.

Deeter is another lock to be ranked high in the first Kansas Class of 2029 rankings. She is a multi-sport talent who also excels at basketball. She should be one of the handful of unicorns that gets ranked among the Top 50 in both sports on Prep Dig and Prep Girls Hoops. She plans to play at Hayden High School, and has a solid chance of playing varsity ball all four years for the Wildcats.
