About Lola

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as assertive, calm, proactive and smart. My job is to terminate on the court

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe my personality as strong yet sensitive, I am an observer and always do what I can to learn from my experiences, although I am sometimes misread because I do have more of a serious face until I get to know somebody. I am competitive and love competition.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am apart of the Nation Honors Society and the California Scholarship Federation. As for non-sports awards I have received high academic awards in 7th, 8th and 9th grade.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Qualities that I have developed include teamwork, leadership, listening skills and perseverance. After managing the West Ranch High School Freshman boy's volley team last year, I was asked to take the assistant coach position this year. Coaching volleyball has given me a different perspective of the game and I know that it has improved my approach to playing.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Since I am an undersized outside hitter, I have always worked extremely hard to put myself in a position to help my team. I have tried to make myself the best passer on the team since 13U.

What type of college are you looking for?

Honestly I am looking for any college where I get to play my favorite sport. I would love one in California but I am extremely flexible and always keeping an open mind. Other than that I don’t have any issues with where a college is or size, it just needs to feel like it’s the right fit.
