How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I love to compete. The adrenaline of the game and the strategy of reading your opponent and seeing opportunities on the court are exciting and drive me. Volleyball is fast pased and competitive and I don't think everyone realizes how much court awareness and strategy play a part. Knowing your competitors, the court, where the holes are and where there are weaknesses is a whole other angle to it.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very positive person. Team sports give me the opportunity to work as a unit for a common goal and grow together to achieve that goal. I may always have a smile on my face, but I have drive and determination that motivate me and I learn from the wins and the losses. Both give the opportunity for growth.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing sports teaches you to work with a variety of personalities and find a common ground to get to the same goal. I love to learn and teach by example. Motivating my teams with positive input and encouragement when things are going well and when they aren't. Showing that you never give up no matter how far down you are and never let up even when you are way ahead.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I fractured my tibia going into 8th grade and was told no jumping or running for 6 weeks due to growing 6" in 7 months. This was the week before volleyball tryouts. I still showed up to tryouts and did everything I could to show who I was not just physically but mentally. I hit without jumping, bumped, served, cheered for others and I still made the top team. Never give up!

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a University that will provide the opportunity for me to study Aviation or Sports Management to further my dream of becoming a pilot and/or coaching, while competing in the sports that I love. I would prefere a medium to large university and am open to not only Texas where I live, but other states that could provide me with these opportunities.
