Malani Walker Malani Walker 5'6" | OH/RS Highland Prep West | 2028 AZ is a hitter who is learning to score based on what the defense gives her, not just what she wants to hit. After recognizing an opponent that defended tips well but struggled handling heavier contact, she made a simple but important adjustment, stopped searching for open spots, and started attacking with more pace.

That read changed how her team scored.

Her growth this season has also come through ball placement. She talks about selling the swing, loading hard, and keeping her hand strong regardless of whether she tips, rolls, or attacks, allowing her to stay effective in a variety of situations.

Outside of volleyball, academics, family, and watching her brother compete at the Division I level have all shaped how she approaches competition.

With Arizona Regionals still ahead, Malani’s focus is on continuing to sharpen her volleyball IQ, and her game is starting to reflect a hitter who thinks as quickly as she swings.
