She is not afraid to shove balls to sides. She makes good in-air adjustments to hit around blockers. Kinkead also seems eager to do her part to help the Spartans run a faster-paced offense. Kinkead said she hopes to get timing down on quicks and shoots. Kinkead added she’s excited about getting to know the new Sayre players and see what they bring to the table. Kinkead also said the varsity experience has helped the players trust each other and not be afraid to make mistakes.

Kinkead has really come around in the front row, thus jumping up 68 spots. She goes up with a purpose and finishes swings with authority. Kinkead will wait for the right second to take swings. Kinkead puts down overpassed balls quickly. She takes solid swings from the middle and outsides and can angle balls off blocks for big points. Kinkead is a sound solo and double blocker. Opponents can’t hit soft shots on her. Kinkead’s confidence has also risen with this new level of consistency.

Margot continues to impress with consistent top level play! A force at the net she puts up a solid defense with a beautiful, well timed block with excellent form and reach. She has a hard swing driving downward balls and can find the seams with excellent ball control and placement. She will tip with well placed balls down the line showing great court IQ fooling the opposition. Margot will serve up aces, will dig in the back row passing up with speed and agility. She covers her teammates well and is a supportive enthusiastic player with talent to match. She is a pillar to her team and a gamechanger on the court!

Kinkead does a great job dominating the net in many different ways. Kinkead’s maturity shows on the court as she plays with an even keel. Kinkead goes up strong on blocks forcing balls high and wide. Kinkead is always encouraging her teammates. She takes a sound approach and follow-through on swings. Kinkead has become more consistent on swings. She does a good job denying setover attempts. Kinkead attributed her dominant net play to strong conditioning, calling for more balls and receiving stronger connections from the setters.

Kinkead is an outstanding blocker in the front for the Spartans. She times her jumps well and denies all sorts of hits from crosses to shoves. Kinkead can also make things happen at the pins and middle offensively for Sayre. She has fundamentally sound swings and can tip balls over blockers. If she improves her arm swing and consistency on offense during club season, Kinkead could take some huge steps forward. Kinkead had 89 kills, 46 solo blocks and 43 assisted blocks in the fall, helping Sayre go 29-9, win the All “A” 11th Region crown and drive to the championship flight in the All “A” State Tournament.

Kinhead made big plays when the Spartants needed then in both wins Friday. She takes sound swings at the net and had some key blocks in the third set against Bishop Brossart. Kinkead played at a fast pace during club season and it has helped her transition well to the varsity level.

Margot has the size and drive and she puts up big blocks! A skilled player who makes the opposition work to get past her. She puts up solid play at the net and is consistently proving her worth on the front line. She has nice technique and timing with great reach stemming from her good size and powerful arms. She has fast reflexes off the net to keep the ball in play with nice ups and can swing on the overpass to get it done! She moves nicely up and down the net and covers the front line well with big steps and a nice vertical. Margot is a presence at the net that denies the opposition, she had great energy, very enthusiastic, supports her teammates, reads the play well and is a blocker to take notice of!

Kinkead gives the 55 Elite team a sound net presence with her blocks. She has a nice arm swing. She runs good fakes on tandems. Kinkead said she has been working on her communication on the court. It showed Saturday.
