Theresa Hickman | Prep Dig Scout
Mesa Jameson brings explosive tempo and fearless attacking. Her first step in transition is fast, allowing her to beat blockers to space before they’re fully sealed. Jameson attacks the seam with power and is comfortable taking high-risk, high-reward swings. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas
Against elite defenses this weekend, expect her to stay aggressive and elevate her physicality rather than shy away. She thrives when the match speeds up.

Mesa Jameson’s approach to Triple Crown is built on effort and resilience. She shared that she is preparing by going all in during practices and in the weight room, maintaining a positive attitude, and never giving up on a play. Mesa is especially excited to showcase her back-row skills, an area she has worked on consistently through both her high school and club seasons. Her goal for the tournament is to show that Northern Lights is a different team than last year, one that is competitive and not an easy out. Her advice is straightforward and athlete-centered, focusing on healthy nutrition, hydration, strong sportsmanship, and getting plenty of sleep to be ready for game day.

Mesa Jameson – Middle Blocker – 6’3” – #1 Overall, #1 Middle
Mesa Jameson anchors the 2028 class with a presence that sets her apart on both sides of the net. At 6’3”, she dominates the middle with a fast first step, disciplined lateral movement, and the ability to close blocks with precision. Her blocking range forces hitters into predictable swings, and she reads setters early — a trait rare for her age. Offensively, Mesa connects on quick tempo, runs the slide with ease, and uses her height and reach to score over even well-formed blocks. She plays above the tape with natural fluidity, and her court command makes her the most complete middle in her class. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas
➡️ This club season, watch for Mesa to expand her offensive toolkit with more slide variations and back-row transition involvement. ✨

Violent arm swing. Mesa Jameson for Northern Lights is a right side that has plenty of highlights where she is potentially hurting someone. She hits a real heavy ball. She can go line or hard cross while being able to put up a big block as well. In her match against Kairos on day three, she came up big time and time again. Her physicality is different and it will be fun to see her all around game expand as she gives me Stephanie Samedy vibes who had quite a career at Minnesota.

is already making waves—and for good reason. Standing at an impressive 6’3”, she brings a dominant presence to the court for Northern Lights 15s. With a high contact point and a strong, explosive approach, Mesa delivers punishing attacks that consistently beat the block. Her ability to drill sharp line shots and terminate out of system makes her a nightmare for defenders.
Defensively, she’s just as dangerous, using her length and timing to shut down opposing hitters at the net. Mesa’s game is advanced beyond her age, and her name is already circulating among college coaches. Expect a crowd around her court this weekend at the PrepDig Gauntlet—she’s the kind of high-impact player that recruiters circle early.~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Something exciting is about to happen when Mesa Jameson jumps. The 6’3 right side hitter brings a lot of physicality and athleticism where when she makes hand contact with the ball – it just sounds different. She is going to create chaos on the other side of the court where they will have a difficult time playing the ball cleanly. Her presence is known to opponents who have to think twice when going head to head with her block. Offensively, she can score points at a high volume, such an exciting player.

This girl is crazy good. She is tall, strong, athletic, skilled, and just an overall dynamic attacker. She is listed as middle, but trust me, she is often seen attacking from the pins and the backcourt which are all just as captivating as when she hits out of the middle. At Park of Cottage Grove where she preps, not only did she account for over a third of the teams kill count and the majority of their blocks, but she also was near the top of the leaderboard in digs. Simply, a phenomenal player that we are all going to have fun watching for years to come.
