Lei-Butters has been getting it done on the prep and club circuits as one of the state’s top liberos for years. It’s puzzling that a college hasn’t yet scooped her up based on what I saw again at the City High tournament early in the 2025 season. Lei-Butters is as steady as they come, limiting mistakes and consistently delivering clean passes to keep a dangerous Jaguar outfit in system. Lei-Butters moves well laterally, gets good reads on the ball and is sound in serve-receive. She also is sharp at setting the pins off of the two ball and does a nice job communicating with her teammates.
