Cecil is not afraid to mix in tips to keep defenders honest. Her high vertical lets her get hands on balls to at least slow them down for defenders.

Cecil does a good job controlling the net with her smart hitting. Cecil hits balls off blockers and down and makes things happen in a number of zones at the net, including the gaps. Cecil taps balls to the middle and uses a good vertical jump to force opponents to hit balls high, wide or even into the net.

A light bulb went off for Cecil in the final game Saturday when she pounded a ball from the right side to the shallow five zone. Cecil has a great net presence constantly forcing opponents to hit balls into the net. Cecil said the confidence rises after someone gets a big kill, adding this team is there for each other.
