The final stop on our Kansas tour brings us to Shockwave VB Academy, where Lewis leads a quick, explosive offense for the club’s 16 Black lineup. Shockwave recently embraced the challenge of competing at Triple Crown NIT, giving us a full glimpse of Lewis’ vast influence at the setter spot. She’s a springy, agile setter who can turn errant passes into in-rhythm opportunities. Her right-back floor defense is outstanding, and Lewis can also get aggressive at the net in two-hitter rotations. She took full advantage of the “varsity stage.” After a freshman season in which she played just five varsity sets for Andover Central. She took over the starting setter position and dished out 849 assists in 83 sets played. She is well-coached, plays with discipline, and can control the pace of play, depending on the situation.

Lewis plays for Shockwave 16-1. I have not seen the young Jaguar play for quite some time. This team will be a priority team to try to catch this weekend. She dished out 849 assists for Andover Central last season. She has a ton of weapons on her club team to feed balls to. After watching Shockwave’s 14-1 club this past weekend, I would be disappointed if I did not see this group’s “A Game” in Jayhawk land. Lewis is ranked No. 50 overall by Prep Dig Kansas.

She spent the majority of her time last season on the junior varsity squad, but she is a toolsy setter who took full advantage of her varsity playing time a year ago. In just five varsity sets she dished out 48 assists. She has proven she can keep up with an elite group of attackers around her. Heading into her sophomore season, she will be looking to compete for the starting setter position for the Jaguars. Lewis is ranked No. 54 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028.
