About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My playing style is coming from a humble perspective. I have always been athletic but have recently started to come out of my performance shell! I am now able to call plays as I see them, be more intense in my serve receive coverage, and display more confidence in hitting capabilities! I am a team player through and through

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am typically a quiet and shy person who care deeply about other's feelings. As a result, it took me a while to come out of my timid playing shell, although I have always been "athletic!" I am still a work in progress: however, I have found that it is ok to be a humble beast, lol. I care deeply about the mentality of myself but mostly about the mentality of my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I participate in the following community organizations: Relay 4 Life (volunteer several times a year) Adelante Thrift (Spanish thrift store I volunteer at weekly) Surburban Balance (Diversity school support organization I volunteer at Quarterly)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Perhaps my biggest challenge in recent years is dealing with the emotional presence of close family, friends, and school classmates who have attempted or committed suicide! I think it has shaped the athletic teammate I am. You will never see me belittle or berate a single person. I truly believe mental health is REAL and we never know what others are suffering from or contemplating.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with competitive Psychology and Spanish programs. I am wanting to really focus on quality education partnered with a great coaching team focused on building all around humble team players who are beast on and off the court
