Verbally Committed to TCU Volleyball

Earned an invite to the 2025 NTDP Summer Training Series (U17) in Hamilton, Ohio, held July 29 to August 1, 2025. This achievement is recognized as a Recruitable Credential.

Piper has moved into the top two of the State Rankings.  She is currently ranked as the 2^nd best overall player and best setter according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings.  She plays at Mayfield Senior High School and for the City volleyball club program.  Ranking the top players in the state is very tough because there are tons of factors that go into it, but each time I grouped players into each category, she kept coming up at the top of each list.  Yes she is six foor three!  Yes she is that coordinated and powerful! And yes she is the top setter in her grad class because of her soft hands and delivery of the rock!  When I saw her at the beginning of her freshman year, I knew that she had tons of potential.  It is extremely refreshing to see her progress into what she is becoming.  When you watch her compete, she commands the court like a true leader, doesn’t take any play off, and communicates extremely well to run her offense.  This young lady truly has it all and will be a high level recruit for the next few years.  If she keeps up her progress correctly, there is no reason why she can’t be competing in the Olympics in the near future.  We are very proud of her and all that she will continue to accomplish.  Please help us congratulate her on her achievement of moving up the State Ranking List.

Her impressive height gives her a distinct advantage, not just in setting but also as a formidable blocker at the net. Built like a true athlete, Piper combines her physicality with a refined skill set that allows her to deliver the ball with exceptional accuracy. Her ability to execute pinpoint sets consistently makes her a valuable playmaker, capable of setting up her hitters for success from any position on the court.

Piper’s blocking ability is a key aspect of her game. She uses her height and reach to put up a solid block, effectively shutting down opposing hitters and creating a strong defensive presence. Beyond her physical attributes, Piper is known for her volleyball IQ. She has a keen sense of the game, allowing her to run a smart and efficient offense. Piper is one of the most talented setters in the class of 2027, showcasing exceptional skills and potential that set her apart as a top recruit in the nation. While many setters are focused on attending college camps, Piper made the unique choice to prioritize a family vacation in the Canadian wilderness, highlighting her strong sense of family values.

Piper’s passion for volleyball is evident in everything she does, from participating in the Jump Lab to practicing her skills with a jump rope in the backyard. Her dedication and hard work culminated in a stellar performance at nationals, where she and her team earned a well-deserved third-place medal. This achievement demonstrated her ability to lead at the right time and thrive under pressure.

Mayfield will be gaining one of the top setters in the country with Piper joining their program. She will not only bring strong fundamental skills to the court but also elevate the level of competition. Her commitment to improvement is clear, as she consistently challenges herself in training, recently achieving the impressive milestone of joining the “10-foot club” with her jumps, which she demonstrated consistently today.
