About Raleigh

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is aggressive, competitive, and team-focused. As a 6'2" outside hitter, I bring a strong presence at the net, both in hitting and blocking. I’m constantly improving every time I step on the court and pride myself on my high volleyball IQ. I adapt quickly to different game styles and always push myself to the limit to help my team succeed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a relentless, driven mentality and am always working to improve. I'm highly competitive, stay focused under pressure, and bring a strong, team-first mindset. I'm outgoing and bring positive energy and humor to keep my team connected and mentally strong. I believe team culture drives performance, and I’m always coachable and eager to grow as a player and teammate.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve been playing volleyball since I was 3, and through the years, I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. I lead by example, communicate well under pressure, and always support my teammates. I believe in building a positive and united team culture, both on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At the end of my HS sophomore year, I tore my labrum in my non-dominate shoulder. This required surgery and several months of rehab. I missed a total of 8 months of play, including my HS junior season. During recovery, I focused on getting stronger. The day I was cleared, I made my club team. This experience taught me resilience and determination, and I’m more focused than ever to succeed.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a strong criminal justice program and a competitive volleyball environment. I want to be challenged both academically and athletically, in a team culture where I can continue to grow and contribute. It’s important to me to have a coach who believes in me and supports my development. A school that values hard work, discipline, and community is a perfect fit.
