McKernan joins many of her Lincoln North Star teammates on a star-studded Nebraska ONE 16 Black roster. She posted one of Nebraska’s best hitting efficiencies last fall as the Navigators broke into the Class A quarterfinals. The cohesion and experience from that late-season run has catapulted McKernan toward a quick start in 2025. She carved indefensible angles in front of the setter as a 16 Black roared to a division championship in last weekend’s Power League. High-stakes qualifier trips await for this high-flying middle blocker.

She compiled over 250 kills on a high clip while also producing some of North Star’s best blocking numbers. McKernan displayed this full range when she competed with Nebraska ONE in the spring. Lincoln North Star gets a nod here, too. McKernan was a dynamic scorer in the Nebraska ONE gym this spring and has retained her starting prep role with the Navigators. This physical middle blocker is on pace to easily surpass last season’s 101-kill total. McKernan has registered over two and a half kills per set and has upped her hitting efficiency to 0.247. The rigors of Class A competition will be no problem for this high-flying attacker.

Look out for Nebraska ONE 15 Black. McKernan’s explosiveness is hard to miss when you watch this group, and she’s one of many high-flying athletes on the team. This middle blocker has grown accustomed to scoring against double-team blocks and makes it look easy every time. McKernan also wields a slow-to-fast approach that makes her difficult to mirror in sideout situations. More 2027 stars are about to emerge with Nebraska ONE .
