The Greenwood sophomore was relentless all night against a veteran Farmington front line featuring some of the best blockers in the state. She kept pounding away, refusing to back down.

As the fourth set wore on, Kaminshine looked a little tired and frustrated. But when the fifth started, she came out on fire. With Riley on the floor, Greenwood’s offense just seemed to click. She delivered three kills in the deciding set to help the Bulldogs keep pace early and made some great digs along the way.

Riley Kaminshine Riley Kaminshine 5'9" | S/RS Greenwood | 2029 State AR did a little bit of everything during Greenwood’s 2-1 opening week. Against Fayetteville, she put down 13 kills while hitting .423, then added 8 kills against Mena and another 8 in a five-set win over Conway. Not bad for your first varsity action facing two 6A powerhouses.

For the week, Kaminshine finished with 29 kills, 26 digs, 5 aces, 7 assists, and 2 blocks. Riley was able to make her presence felt in a variety of ways for the Bulldogs. She stepped up with kills from the pin when needed, was a solid defender and set well against Conway.

The five-set win over Conway was a nice way to cap the week. Greenwood needed players to make plays late, and Riley was right in the middle of it. That’s a pretty good opening statement.

As he continues to develop physically and gain experience, her ceiling will be extremely high. Players who combine size, court awareness, and multi-positional value are always worth keeping an eye on. Kaminshine appears to have all three.

She plays with great energy and enthusiasm when she is on the court. She is early in her volleyball journey, but Riley is a player who is on the rise and the best is yet to come.
