Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I would describe my gameplay as competitive and strategic. Before every play, I always think about what to do next and what is the smartest to help lead my team to victory. I am quick on my feet, and love to involve all my offense in every type of set possible.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a very outgoing and uplifting player. On the court, I reassure my girls and always try to keep the energy up no matter what situation we are in. On the court, I am in it for the team. My mentality is to always go for everything and to try and outthink the other team. If a play doesn’t go my way, I always try and side out right away.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in the National Honors Society as well as being involved with my community by working at the local food bank, and cooking for cancer patients.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have devolved many huge skills on and off the court, one big one being leadership. Being in the position of setter, responsibility falls upon you. As a leader, I have learned that leadership is not just about being the leader, but about being the first to uplift players and to always commit to the team.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
While I have not faced any significant hardships, I have worked through the tough mental side of playing competitive volleyball. I struggled with self-doubt of my abilities, on and off the court. Over time, I realized that success in volleyball comes with having mental resilience. I now focus on resetting quickly after mistake and controlling what I can instead of getting stuck in my head.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for an academically oriented college with lots of community support, that values and supports student-athletes. In a volleyball program, I am looking for a program that is competitive and will push me to be the best player I can be every time I step into the gym.
