About Alyssa
Expert Analysis
Mike Bryant | Prep Dig Scout
Box was one of the more dynamic setters of the session given her quickness and her foot work to get to the ball often so she can elevate and contact in the air. All of that starts with her preparation and getting to a good spot when the ball is server or hit so she has the ability to pursue the second tough efficiently. Given she pursues quickly and aggressively, she has good control of her force and extension to locate a quality ball.

The Glacier Peak prospect is a quick, athletic setter and right-side; she moves easily around the court to run down the second ball and has the vertical to compete at the net at 5’7″. Box has strong hands and can push the ball pin to pin, and her speed and reactions help her play outstanding defense. Box is the 45th-ranked overall player and 9th-ranked setter in the 2028 class.

Alyssa is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Washington State Rankings, but is currently listed on our official Watch List. She plays volleyball for Glacier Peak High School and also plays for the Spaceneedle Volleyball Federation club program. Miss Box has a very strong upper body that she uses to push the ball out to the pins with ease. I love that she has a positive disposition on the court and that will lead to some great leadership and team chemistry to any squad. When you watch her footwork as she tracks the ball around the court, you see some great balance and fantastic ability to not put her heels on the ground. This will keep her super bouncy and able to beat the ball to her spot in order to have great posture while setting. On the court, her positive attitude was a joy to witness and we think she will continue to inspire others throughout her volleyball career. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
