Barcel has fit into the team’s system perfectly and adds another layer of ball-control prowess to the lineup. She is agile enough to track down passes off the net and deliver hittable out-of-system balls to the outside. 16 Apex leaned on this reliable setting en route to a podium finish in Omaha’s 16 Open division. The team will be looking for more at upcoming qualifiers.

The 6-2 has been Nebraska Elite 15 Revolution’s preferred system this year, allowing us to watch two exceptional setters run the offense. Whenever Barcel had her turn across the back row, she always managed to keep the offense flowing. It’s a tough task in a two-setter system, but Barcel’s maturity and poise has been a huge asset for Nebraska Elite. GJNC’s big test is on the way, but 15 Revolution’s setters will be ready.
