Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
On and off the court, I consistently cheer on my teammates through their achievements and mistakes, and lift everyone up so we can play to our full potential together! I also communicate with my teammates - whether a ball is in/out, what spot they should swing towards in order to get a kill, or where the players from the other team are located at!
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a very outgoing and kind person - I love putting a smile on other peoples faces and will never walk away from anyone who needs help! I go into everything with a positive mindset, and if anything comes in the way that isn't in my favor, I work hard to push through it and try my best! I'd also consider myself a very coach-able player. I'm able to take criticism and use that to improve!
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
At my school, I am part of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Move Maroon! I plan on joining the National English Honor Society this school year and continuing the clubs I am currently in!
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
In volleyball, I have developed a strong sense of leadership, sportsmanship, dedication, and dependability. I know when to step up and take charge when it's needed, l've learned to accept losses and grow from them, l've learned there's always room for improvement and becoming very good at anything takes time, and l've learned that I play a crucial role on the court and it's important to show up.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Both my freshman and sophomore season, I broke fingers only days before the tryout sessions. This past season, I broke my thumb during a tournament and was out for 3 weeks. These injuries hurt me not only physically, but mentally as well. It was so hard to watch my teammates grow and play the sport that I love so much, while I sat on the sides cheering them on.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm interested in a college with a diverse student population, a quality volleyball program, and a credited psychology/counseling program!
