Adler is a lefty with a very high contact point and fast arm swing. You will find her swining over most blockers. Adler showed off her athleticism as she made some tough plays against some really strong opposing blockers and attackers. I think this particular event may have been a key stepping stone and confidence boost for Adler going into the club season.
Johnston is smooth in transition and can absolutely hammer the ball. She demonstrated a lot power and proved to be a real terminator. Johnston finds a way to connect with her setters and time her approach.
Kelzenberg is everything you’d want from your middle blocker and she’d actually make a pretty great right side too. She is strong, confident, and plays with a high motor. At 6’2 with a strong frame Kelzenberg is intimidating at the net. She blocks every type of swing and then returns the favor using fast footwork to create her own opportunities to take a swing.
Highlights
Kusnier takes a really nice aggressive approach and rips the ball. She could garner some attention from colleges as an attacker just shy of 6’0 with great movement. Kusnier has solid footwork and does a nice job finishing her swing.

Laaksonen caught my eye with her ability to get off the floor quickly and take a fast swing on the ball. She has some great fast twitch muscles that make her approach so springy. Laaksonen was doing a lot of great things on Saturday including challenging passers with her serve and getting her hands on a lot of block touches. At 6’0 she moves well, smooth in transition and has the athleticism to be a strong 6 rotation player.
LaPlante has some serious hops and really fast arm swing that makes her hard to ignore. She is an athletic attacker that makes some tough plays look effortless. LaPlante has a solid serve and will look to be an impact player this club season.
Highlights
Myhre has always gotten a high contact point because of her naturally long limbs but she has gotten so much stronger over the past couple years and it shows in her agility across the net as well as her explosive power from the floor.
Neeley takes a really aggressive approach and has a really high reach that she can make a solid contact on the ball at a really high point. She is a competitor and did a nice job playing hard in each drill until the ball was down.
Panagiotopoulos has a big swing and makes good adjustments based on her opponent across the net and setters feeding her the ball. She was hitting the ball as hard as anyone in the gym and she was a force at the net as a blocker. Pananiotopoulos is athletic and certain to catch the attention of coaches.
Partlow’s play heated up in 6v6 where she dropped the hammer on a deep court kill. She could really wind up and put some pace on the ball while she also has a lot of athleticism to put up some big blocks. Partlow went up against some really big blockers but she held her own. She turned her aggression up a knotch and made a statement.
Rogge has such a high contact and fast swing that makes her really hard to stop. She faced a lot of big blocks but her size held its own as well as her ability to mix up her shots. She demonstrated her athleticism with her passing and serving.
Siegle knows how to work around a block and she has the finesse to get the ball over the block to drop into the court. She stays calm and collected to take a great swing when things got chaotic. Siegle showed her passing abiliy that makes her a 6 rotation asset.
Weeks does a great job getting her feet to the ball and seeing the block in front of her. She knows just when she has the green light to speed up the armswing and pound the ball inside the block.
