Schroeder has a wicked cross court float and she gets the bottom to drop out at the last second to give passers a fit. She is quick to the second ball and moves the ball around well to utilize many zones on the net. Schroeder has a nice clean release and provides her attackers with a lot of opportunities.

Morken is this tiny little speed demon. She is a scrappy defender and never lets the 2nd ball drop. She jump sets to speed up the tempo but also does a great job sending the ball to either pin and letting her attackers show off their athleticism.
I love the consistency Kiebel provides with her sound footwork and ability to always get her hips around the ball. She gets the ball out of her hands quickly and clean. Kiebel also keeps the contact high and hard to read.
Wagner is part of a 3 setter system for Northern Lights 16-2. Wagner has a lot of experience and she is an athletic setter with natural height and the ability to lead. She knows how to command her offense and makes some really great decision making with timing, location, and hitter selection.
Opland does a great job jump setting and giving her attackers a ton of opportunities. She is another great setter coming out of the Northern Lights program. Opland is elevating her game, gaining poise and experience along with developing great connections with some strong attackers.

Rossum is a strong athletic setter that can move the ball around and aggressively take it herself. She is a threat from the service line, a natural leader, and determined to get the point. Rossum is a strong communicator and can use different speeds and tempos to run her offense.

Jaynes uses all her attackers while also having a great connection with her middle blockers in particular. After she establishes the middle she moves the ball quickly to the outside pins and lets them show off their athleticism. Jaynes consistently jump sets and holds the opposing block’s attention with really deceptive setter dumps at just the right time.
Axness is one you have to watch out for because she moves the ball well and knows when to call her own number. She has a lot of great intangibles that you want in a setter including a dynamic sense of of leadership. Axness moves the ball quickly and exposes weaknesses on the other side of the net.
Schmidt is a fun athlete to watch because of her aggressive nature and inteligent physicality. By that, I mean she is so dynamic in her movement and she sees the court so well that she knows exactly where to put the ball to score. It’s clear she plays beach with her ability to strategize and execute a gameplan. And then there is her serve. If you can return that then you better capitalize because you don’t want her to serve again.
