The 2025 Class has some really talented right sides rising in the rankings and really giving the position some steam for the future. Here is a peak at five athletes that have a promising future on the right pin.
Mix can swing on either pin but she definitely seems more comfortable on the right side so far. She does a nice cross body shot down the net, exposes a split, or uses the block. Mix creates a nice approach angle that gives her a lot of options.

Ertz takes a heavy swing on the ball as well as puts up a monster block. When I saw Ertz at the Show Me Qualifier in Kansas City she was playing six rotations and providing a consistent attack out of the back row as well as the front. She runs a variety of routes out of serve receive and does a great job finding the open court to score points.
Highlights
Elivia Farris
Tufto has a really high reach and she puts up a big block. She also gets on top of the ball and takes a really fast swing to expose any open court or weak blockers. Tufto has a big wingspan and elite speed that helps her terminate from either pin.
Holthaus has been learning the ropes of setting at Northern Lights this season but I think in true form she is still a right side. She does a nice job of working different angles in her attack and seeing the offosing defense. As she gets more comfortable in the setting position she should develop into a really dynamic player.
Gilk is a unique player in that she is a six rotation right side that coaches never want to see leave the floor. She is solid in serve receive and she reads the play to get herself in a position to be waiting for the ball to cross the net. Gilk is built to last and she is strong and physical at the net as well. She moves well defensively and offensively making herself an invaluable asset to any team.
