Class of 2027 All Star Team

Certainly the 6'1" middle [player_tooltip player_id='437452' first='Jolie' last='Vignier'] (Paramount) deserves a spot. As do left sides [player_tooltip player_id='437448' first='Eva' last='Collingham'] (Paramount) and [player_tooltip player_id='437457' first='Jasmin' last='Tucker'] (Metro). Alas, only 12 can represent this team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At 6'2" [player_tooltip player_id='357402' first='Katherine' last='Lewis'] brings six rotation play and height to the court. Kayla stands smaller at 5'8" but her game relies on quickness. As a smaller player she works hard to improve her game. Aaliyah also shines bright with her defense in the back row and her offensive prowess in the front. She also flashes a tough serve.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The team includes two right sides who can always move to the left. [player_tooltip player_id='390169' first='Katherine' last='Russell'] stands 6'0" with a strong left handed swing tailored for the right side, so we may keep her there. Kieran also terminates balls with consistency from the right side. To get both their powerful arms in the game you run a 6/2, putting them in for the setters when they get to the front row.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Alyssa can play middle or left side. She played up on the 15 team and stood out as their primary offensive player. Her 5'11" frame has room for further growth. Taylor brings immense intensity to her game. She plays with no fear and at 6'1" with a 10 foot approach she rifles the ball over most middles. At 6'0" Hunter also brings length to her game. She hits quicks well and redirects blocks like she has been playing this game for years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kai sets a 5'1" for Virginia Jrs. Caycee did the same for the Virginia Jrs. 13 team a couple years ago but for Metro at 5'6" she now sets mostly back row while running a 6/2. With the surplus of pins on this team a 6/2 would be best. Both setters distribute sets well and have a sense of where to go with the ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Laila won an MVP award at the Capital Hill classic playing as an outside for Metro two years ago but at 5'8" and playing up at 15s she moved to libero. She brings athleticism and quickness to the position. Kaniyah played libero for the 14s team, bringing a solid all around game with good passing, defense and serving. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
