One aspect of the rankings that show a players hard work and focus to improve is the Stock-Risers. Making a move up even a few spots can be difficult depending on the position and talent level of the players listed. Our 2024 Rankings had a switch at the #1 and #2 spot, with one nationally ranked prospect squeezing by another, a big move at the very top of the rankings. Other players improve as they develop their skills or grow taller or physically stronger. This particular 2025 update had tremendous movement with players being ranked only for the second time, and for the first time with a full club season of play behind them. Here is our first look at the 2025 Stock-Risers!
The Seattle Prep junior powered her way through a successful season with her WVBA 16 Adidas team, showing a well-rounded game as a six-rotation outside. A pinpoint server, with defensive skills in the back row and a solid platform in serve receive, Dorscht can take a big swing with pace when her number is called. Dorscht works extremely hard at her craft and we expect to see her lead the way for a tough Seattle Prep squad this season.

The middle from Renovators and Mead High School is drawing looks from excellent college programs with her combination of size and quickness. At six-foot three inches tall, Durgan fits right in with a long and skilled group of top middle prospects in the 2025 rankings. The junior has the ability to run a fast tempo offense with smart and quick transitions, and she always puts up a big block defensively. Her overall game is growing as well, this club season she took swings from the pins, showed a nice serve and ran down balls in the back row as a defender.
Grieser has a skill for scoring as a right side, after banging off a block she will drop in a delicate and well-placed tip over the top to score. Her swing catches high hands and defenders spend a lot of time watching the ball ricochet out for points. Grieser has a chance to carve out a significant role at North Creek this season, the Jaguars will need her contributions to make another run at state.
Highlights
Berry is an athletic powerhouse, who plays much bigger than her listed size. Wenatchee is poised for a tremendous season, and the former libero will be relied upon to quarterback the team on the court. Watching her play during club and this summer, you would think she never played anything but the setter spot, until she pulls out a crazy dig chasing down a ball no on has any business getting to. Berry has the strength to push the ball to the pin from tough positions and angles on the court, giving her hitters every opportunity to score.
Highlights
Joffe is part of the initial class at the IMG Academy Volleyball program in Florida, but she stays in this latest ranking update for now. She worked hard for the PSR All-Stars 17 team that played excellent ball in July, and she was a spark emotionally, firing up her team after big plays. Her athleticism is starting to shine as her skill grows, she absolutely pounded the slide at the end of the season for both Dakine and the region team.
Highlights
Murphy just seems to be scratching the surface of what she can accomplish on the volleyball court. With great length, and the ability to play in the back row, Murphy is due for a monster season of development with Ellensburg and CRU. Her swing is fluid, and she has a nice press on the block standing 6 foot two inches tall. It will be important for Ellensburg’s state tournament hopes for the #70 ranked prospect to make another jump forward this fall.
Highlights
Wright has recently verbally committed to the Montana Grizzlies in the Big Sky, and the smooth setter from Tahoma is one of a few early commits form the 2025 group. She does the hard work with her feet before she gets her hands on the ball, and has a consistent foot pattern and quick change of direction when a pass might make her move suddenly. Tahoma may need her to play as an attacker at times this fall, and she is excellent swinging from either pin .
Highlights
Ray is a long and athletic middle who has worked and worked some more to improve her game. She has always had great timing as a blocker, and this club season with CPA she added a solid slide attack and a strong push tip that she used to score against the flow of the defense. Ray will be an important part of the puzzle for a Gonzaga Prep team out of Spokane that is seeking a third straight trip to the state tournament.
